Description du poste
With more than 4,000 high-level engineers working in the automotive sector, the ALTEN Group contributes to the development of ADAS systems and autonomous car prototypes, both at automakers (Audi, BMW, Jaguar-Land Rover, PSA, Renault, etc.) and at equipment manufacturers (Continental, Valeo, etc.) and research institutes (CEESAR, VEDECOM, etc.)
An ADAS engineer is an automotive design engineer who works on driver assistance systems such as pedestrian detection, emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.
Here are the different functions of ADAS engineers in ALTEN:
- ADAS Functional Design Engineer
An ADAS Design Engineer analyses the needs expressed by motorists, the functionalities deployed on the competition’s vehicles, as well as the criticisms of automotive journalists. This database will feed the engineer’s reflection on the functional analysis of the system and detail the services in the specifications. The ADAS design engineer can then define the control/command architecture and validate its operation through digital simulation (e.g. Matlab Simulink) and physical simulation (e.g. test bench, vehicle prototyping, etc.).
2. ADAS sensor integration engineer
After defining the specifications and the architecture, it is time to incorporate the most important element of the ADAS system: the sensors, into the vehicle to validate its proper functioning. Several engineering skills are involved in the development / integration of ADAS sensors: calibration, embedded software engineering, electronic and electric engineering,
