We develop military simulation environments for studies and research projects, used for analysis and AI training. Using Machine Learning and Deep Learning approaches, we create AI methods for autonomous planning and decision-making under uncertain and complex operational conditions.
We implement and test advanced Deep Reinforcement Learning techniques for military use, and publish our results at international conferences (e.g., NATO-STO Best Paper Award 2021).
You’ll work on exciting research projects for the Bundeswehr, NATO, and the EU in the field of security and defense. Our department values respect, teamwork, and creativity, and is actively involved in innovation activities such as AI and Quantum Computing.
Your Role:
- Technical lead in developing and testing AI approaches for autonomous planning
- Manage small study teams and ensure delivery in time, budget, and quality
- Prepare and conduct customer presentations and meetings
- Design software architectures and MLOps-driven AI training environments (Ray, Kubernetes)
- Develop mission management systems for drone swarm systems (UxV)
- Lead technical exchanges with internal and external partners
- Implement and optimize Deep Reinforcement Learning methods (C++ or Python)
- Lead technical proposals (scope, time, cost)
- Apply and test solutions in cooperation with partners (universities, Fraunhofer)
